Rainy days and Sundays……..

Good evening πŸ™‚

Well summer is here{or not!},as it has been yet another rainy, soggy day here in Derbyshire…but this I don’t mind.

Why you may ask?! Well for one it is a Sunday. Now Sundays for me conjure up childhood memories, memories of the smell of roast dinner cooking, helping my dad in the garden, walking our dogs, and best of all…getting out drawing and colouring books, glue, paper, fabrics, and anything else we had that I could get my hands on to be creative with πŸ™‚

On warm summery days I would take a blanket and my creative ingredients out onto the daisy strewn lawn and on wet cold days I would sit in the warmth radiating from the roaring coal fire.

For me,being creative was not only fun,but it was a way of expressing myself and relaxing too.As a child I obviously knew the fun bit,but not until years later did I realise that creating art is also my therapy,my way of relaxing, unwinding and also of expressing myself.

So where was I? .. Ah yes, rainy days and Sundays!

So what could be better on a Soggy Sunday, than cosying up indoors, with candles and incense lit, whilst listening to the rain outside πŸ™‚

And what better way to relax than getting out colouring pens, pencils, paper etc and creating something beautiful!

Recently colouring has become widely recognised as a way of relaxing for adults. As children we all had colouring books to hand, and as parents we gave them to our children.I remember also drawing pictures for my children to colour in.It was a way of them being creative with colour and of winding down after a day of running around crazily outside.

So it actually makes sense that if it’s good for children it’s also going to be good for us grown-ups πŸ˜‰

So with this in mind,I decided to design and create some colouring pages just for adults πŸ™‚ These are available as a downloadable file that you just print at home and you’re away colouring instantly,no waiting for the postie to deliver them to your door! I’ve also created some colouring cards. These are blank greeting cards, printed on lovely card, perfect for personalising with your own colour choice and either giving as a gift to someone,or for framing and hanging on your wall. These are ready printed and just waiting for colour to be added to them πŸ™‚

I love creating designs especially for colouring and love the idea that someone else will be using their creativity to bring these illustrations to life!

I have a selection of designs are available in my Etsy Shop, and more in mind to create.

So you see…….that is why I love rainy days and Sundays! πŸ™‚Β that etsy pictureIMG_20150713_0001
